A Great Time In Chicago!

The International Quilt Show in Chicago was wonderful! This past weekend I spent two days admiring extraordinary quilts and shopping! It was a quilter's paradise to say the least. On my last post I noted that thread painting had become front and center in my studio. Santa brought me Terry White's book "Thread Painting Made Easy" for Christmas and it has inspired me to give it a try. Who would have guessed while browsing the booths in Chicago I would run right into Terry. What a thrill it was to meet her. I happened to have a few ATCs in my bag that I was thread painting and shared them with her. She is amazing and her book is so well written and easy to understand. She advised me on threads, needles, etc...she is so inspiring! Thanks Terry for being one of the highlights of my adventure.

I will post more highlights of my trip later this week. ATC cards I exchanged and my class project from Make It University sponsored by Cloth, Paper, Scissors Magazine, stay tuned.

Speaking of ATCs...last month I won a fun little wall hanging from my blogging friend Helen and I wanted to share it with everyone. What a wonderful way to showcase some of my favorite ATCs. Thanks Helen, I adore my prize!

Blessings to all, thanks for stopping in!

Oh - lucky girl being able to go to the Chicago quilt show!! I bet you've come home over-stimulated and brimming full of new stuff to try LOL!! It is lovely to see you've filled the wallhanging - hope you'll enjoy seeing those tiny creations every day :)
